vivo has brought its X500 series to the global market just a month after announcing it in China. The lineup covers all three previously unveiled models: the X500, the X500 Pro and the X500 Pro Max. For anyone wondering when the phones would reach markets outside China, the announcement answers that.

As with the brand's earlier global launches, not every region gets the full range. Europe, among others, will not receive the standard X500. Pricing varies by region and by the storage configuration chosen.

Standard X500: on sale in Southeast Asia

The X500 goes on sale in Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia. The 12/256GB version starts at MYR 4,699 (about $1,149), while the 12/512GB version reaches MYR 5,299 (about $1,296). Doubling the storage therefore adds MYR 600 to the price in Malaysia.

The global model matches the version sold in China spec for spec. It is built around the MediaTek Dimensity 9600M chip. Notable hardware includes a 6.58-inch AMOLED display, a 7,500mAh battery and a triple-camera system made up of a 50MP main sensor, a 64MP telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide.

X500 Pro: the periscope camera model

In Malaysia, the X500 Pro will be sold only in a 12/256GB configuration, starting at MYR 5,699 (about $1,394). In Europe, the 12/256GB version starts at 1,299 euros, rising to 1,449 euros for the 512GB model. Because the standard X500 is not coming to Europe, buyers there will choose between the Pro and the Pro Max.

The Pro keeps the same feature set as its Chinese counterpart. It runs on the Dimensity 9600 Pro chip and carries a 6.39-inch LTPO AMOLED display and a 6,510mAh silicon-carbon battery. The camera setup combines a 50MP main sensor, a 200MP periscope and a 50MP ultrawide.

X500 Pro Max: slightly smaller battery in the global version

The global version of the top-end X500 Pro Max uses a 7,800mAh silicon-carbon battery. The Chinese model had a capacity of 8,000mAh. All three phones nonetheless retain 90W wired and 40W wireless charging support.

In Malaysia, the Pro Max's 12/256GB version starts at MYR 6,099 (about $1,491). A 16GB RAM, 1TB model bundled with a photography kit tops out at MYR 9,699 (about $2,372). In Europe, prices begin at 1,499 euros for the 12/256GB version, and the most expensive 1TB photography kit edition sells for 2,199 euros. In both Malaysia and Europe, the Pro Max sits at the top of the price list.
